Meet Rachelle,
Rachelle Hedges is the Project and Policy Analyst for Berkeley Forests (UC Berkeley's center for forestry and fire research and outreach), where she oversees communications and outreach efforts, organizes forestry focused seminars and workshops, manages Russell Research Station, and helps to manage a variety of programs and courses for the Ecosystems Management and Forestry Major. She is also proud to serve as the Cal Forestry Club and Logging Sports Team Staff Advisor.
Prior to joining the Berkeley Forests team, Rachelle held positions as the Communications and Outreach Coordinator for Alameda County Resource Conservation District, organizing large and small natural resource and agriculture workshops, and events, and as the Natural Resources and GIS Fellow for San Mateo County Parks, where she managed a number of fuel break and forest health projects.
She has an AAS degree in Forest Resources Technology, as well as a BA in Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University and an MF from UC Berkeley. She lives with her husband and daughters in Berkeley, but drags them out of the city and into the woods as much as she can.
