Per Tomani is Director of Business Development for Pulp Mills and Lignin at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden. He brings more than 30 years of experience in R&D and innovation within the pulp and paper sector. At RISE, he works with business development focused on pulp mills and lignin, helping drive the transition toward more sustainable and advanced biobased materials.
He is one of the co-inventors of the LignoBoost process, a key technology for lignin separation, and has played a central role in scaling it from research to industrial application.
Per is also the creator of LignoCity, an open innovation platform supporting startups and scale-ups in developing new technologies, and serves as Scientific Lead in the Emission Free Pulping program, bringing together leading researchers and industry partners.
