Jake Young is a Director at New Leaf Climate Partners, where he works across the firm’s investment portfolio, focusing on how capital can catalyze sustainable land use and scale climate-smart forestry solutions. New Leaf Climate develops blended finance strategies to support reforestation, conservation, and natural capital.

Previously, Jake led conservation partnerships and acquisitions at Better Place Forests, where he grew their land portfolio across the U.S. Before BPF, Jake evaluated transactions at DBL Partners, a $400M AUM impact VC firm in the San Francisco Bay Area and was a research fellow at the Rocky Mountain Institute. Recently, Jake was also the Entrepreneur in Residence for The Nature Conservancy's Regenerative Grazing Lands Team. Jake holds both an MS and BS from Stanford University.
