We’re excited to welcome Daniel Sanchez, Principal Scientist at Carbon Direct and Associate Professor at UC Berkeley, to the summit.
Daniel is a leading expert in biomass carbon removal and bioenergy systems, working to scale technologies that remove CO₂ from the atmosphere. His work spans academia, industry, and policy, engaging technology developers, corporations, and policymakers to advance carbon removal solutions.
At UC Berkeley, he co-directs the Berkeley Wood Lab and leads the Carbon Removal Lab, focusing on engineered wood products and biomass-based carbon removal technologies. He also advises companies working at the forefront of carbon removal and sustainable biomass innovation.
