Chad Oliver is the Pinchot Professor Emeritus of Forestry and Environmental Studies at Yale University.
He has had a distinguished academic career spanning several decades, including faculty positions at the University of Washington and Yale University. He is widely recognized for his contributions to forest science, including his seminal book Forest Stand Dynamics, with a third edition currently in preparation.
His work focuses on forest management and global resource challenges, with an emphasis on balancing renewable energy, biodiversity, and human well-being.
Chad has advised industry, governments, and international organizations, and has testified before the U.S. Congress and participated in United Nations forums. He is a Fellow of the Society of American Foresters and has received international recognition for his contributions to forest research.
